The Warren County Jail was completed in April of 1987. This jail started off with just 78 inmates. Today the jail has grown much larger. There are more buildings and many more people staying here. This facility houses both men and women inmates. There are about 562 beds available at this jail. The inmates range from violent to non violent offenders. Some of the inmates are elegible for work programs. They are allowed out of jail to do jobs such as working for the state highway road crew and parks.
This jail has a number of different building that house the inmates. Some building offer more security than others. The building that you are assigned to just depends on what you are in the jail for and how long you are going to be there. There is also a large kitchen where some of the women prisoners cook. This jail offers inmates a law library where they can read many different types of books from law manuals to the Bible. There are also recreational areas for the inmates to use both inside and outside. There is a 24 hour medical staff available to care for the inmates and a dentist office too.
